We like people to know what we’re up to, so we try to get the word out through a variety of mediums, including print mailings, email communications and social networking. In 2008, we took stock of what we were doing and how much it was costing us to maintain an active printing & mailing program, not only in terms of actual cost but also in terms of environmental cost. The result is an emphasis on communicating without borders, quite literally using the power of the Internet to tell people our story and to get them involved in what we do. To wit, we produce:
- Quarterly eNewsletters
- Special event invitations & announcements about volunteer opportunities, party invitations and event reminders
- eBlasts, for when an issue is pressing and needs community voices to help raise awareness
- Biannual printed Calendar of Events, to post on your refrigerator door!
- Printed Annual Report, also available online
